Team Soul’s next Bodybuilding cycle starts August 31. This 18 week program combines the muscle building principles of traditional bodybuilding with the strength, movement quality, and versatility of functional bodybuilding.
The goal is simple. Build lean muscle, get stronger, improve weak points, and develop a capable, well rounded body.
Members at Team Soul Miami and Team Soul Fort Lauderdale can follow the Bodybuilding track as their primary training program or use selected sessions as accessory work alongside CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, or another Team Soul program.

How the New Bodybuilding Cycle Works
The cycle is organized into three week training phases. Rep ranges gradually decrease throughout each phase, allowing training intensity to increase before the structure resets for the next block.
This gives you a clear and consistent way to apply progressive overload throughout the full 18 weeks. You will gradually increase weight, reps, training quality, or total work without feeling like every session needs to become a max effort workout.
The program will include familiar intensity techniques such as:
• Drop sets
• Rest pause sets
• Myo rep sets
• Ascending and descending ladders
• EMOMs
• Cluster sets
• High intensity finishers
These methods increase the training stimulus without relying exclusively on heavier loads. That allows us to create the muscular tension and fatigue needed for hypertrophy while managing joint stress and overall fatigue.

Traditional Bodybuilding Meets Functional Strength
The traditional bodybuilding side of the program emphasizes muscular isolation, targeted muscle groups, controlled tempo, time under tension, and getting the most out of every working set.
Functional bodybuilding methods add unilateral exercises, stability work, different loading positions, and movements that challenge strength through multiple planes of motion.
Together, these approaches help you build muscle without losing the strength, coordination, and movement quality that carry over to training and everyday life.
Across the cycle, we will focus on four priorities:
• Progressive overload
• Quality movement
• Muscular development
• Work capacity
Each phase builds on the one before it, giving you the opportunity to push intensity while maintaining the balance between looking strong and being strong.

Following Bodybuilding as Your Main Program
You can follow the Team Soul Bodybuilding track as your primary source of training.
This is a great option if your main goals are building muscle, improving body composition, getting stronger, and following a structured hypertrophy program.
Because the program is already designed as a complete track, you do not need to add CrossFit classes or additional strength work to make it effective.
More training is not always better. If Bodybuilding is your main program, focus on completing the prescribed sessions with quality effort, recovering between workouts, eating to support your goals, and progressing gradually.
Consistency across the full cycle will matter more than adding extra work to every session.

Using Bodybuilding as Accessory Training
You can also use the Bodybuilding track to support another Team Soul program.
A member following our CrossFit class programming might add one or two Bodybuilding sessions each week to build muscle, strengthen a weak area, or increase targeted training volume.
An Olympic weightlifter might use selected sessions for upper body strength, unilateral leg work, trunk stability, or muscular development that supports the snatch and clean and jerk.
This type of accessory work can help you:
• Add targeted volume without another high intensity conditioning session
• Train specific weak points
• Build lean muscle
• Improve muscular endurance
• Strengthen positions that support your primary sport
• Get productive additional work while managing overall fatigue
The key is choosing work that supports your main program instead of competing with it.
For example, a CrossFit athlete who wants to improve pull ups might complete the weekly back and pulling session. That gives them additional work for the lats, upper back, biceps, grip, and supporting muscles without requiring them to follow the entire Bodybuilding schedule.
You do not have to complete every session for the track to be useful. Following one specific day consistently can be more effective than adding random exercises after class.

Choose the Approach That Matches Your Goal
There are two effective ways to use this cycle.
Follow the entire Team Soul Bodybuilding program if building muscle and strength is your primary goal.
Choose one or two targeted sessions each week if CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, or another program remains your main focus.
If you are combining tracks, pay attention to your total weekly workload. Accessory training should help you improve, not interfere with your primary sessions or recovery. When you are unsure which days make sense, ask a Team Soul coach for guidance.
Whether you train with us in Miami, Dania Beach, or remotely, this cycle gives you a clear and flexible structure for building muscle, developing strength, and bringing up the areas that need more attention.
The new Team Soul Bodybuilding cycle begins August 31. Choose how the program fits your goals, stay consistent, and make every set count.
