Team Soul’s new bodybuilding cycle is designed to maximize muscle growth using classic hypertrophy techniques combined with advanced intensifiers. This cycle will return to a Push/Pull/Legs split with 5 workouts per week. It has been designed to be performed within a functional gym environment as the program utilizes free weights, cables, machines, and additional training tools to create an effective stimulus for hypertrophy.

During this cycle, you will find the following:

Tempo Work: Controlled eccentrics, pauses and explosive concentrics to increase time under tension and maximize muscle fiber recruitment.


Drop Sets: Extending sets past failure by reducing weight after reaching muscular fatigue, ensuring complete fiber exhaustion and muscle building.


Partial Reps: Using
 partial range of motion reps to push beyond failure and break down additional muscle fibers.


Rest-Pause Sets: Brief pauses within your sets to allow partial recovery, enabling more total reps and increased muscle tissue breakdown.


Myo-Rep Match Sets: Performing an initial near-failure set followed by short clusters of additional reps to increase your approaches to failure within a set.

Integrating these hypertrophy intensifiers into a structured cycle, will aid in extracting maximum hypertrophic benefits while maintaining a functional approach to strength and movement. The combination of progressive overload, mechanical tension, and metabolic stress helps prevent adaptation and stagnation, leading to more muscle fiber recruitment, greater metabolic stress and muscle breakdown for optimal growth.
