Here at Team Soul, we’re always looking for effective and varied ways to better serve our community. Whether you’re looking to get your daily fitness in, compete locally, make it to the CrossFit Games, get fit, or any reason you had to walk through the doors of Team Soul, it’s our goal to be able to better serve you at any of our gyms. This is one of the many reasons why Team Soul Burn and Team Soul Strength were created.
Team Soul Burn is our cardiovascular focused program designed to make you perform at an elevated heart rate for variable periods of time. This program utilizes workouts designed to target different energy systems that will render you a different stimulus on each one. This is just a fancy way of saying we want you to work on your cardio and breathe heavy so you can get a good sweat and burn fat using workouts that go from short time periods with very high intensity, to longer ones that make you push for longer. This type of training is beneficial for anyone trying to improve their cardiovascular endurance, aerobic capacity, and lose weight, along with many other benefits. Team Soul Burn will now be offered three times a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM, and Saturdays at 8:00 AM in MIA. While in FTL it’ll be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM, and Saturdays at 10:00 AM during Training Hall. This will give you more opportunities to get that cardio and endurance training in throughout the week.
Team Soul Strength is going to become Team Soul Bodybuilding. We are changing this program based on the feedback we have gotten from our community in regards to what they would like to see more of. Team Soul Bodybuilding is a true bodybuilding program designed to have you performing exercises and rep ranges that will promote hypertrophy. One of the best ways to gain muscle is to use progressive overload. This can be seen in the shape of increasing the loading or the rep ranges of a movement that you perform over a period of time. In a simpler way, this program is here to help you build muscle by progressing the weight you use or the amount of repetitions you perform every time you do a movement. If you’re someone who is looking to gain more muscle mass, this program is for you. This program will be offered on SugarWOD, four days a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This does not mean that you have to perform these workouts in that specific schedule scheme, so you can always move the days around to fit your needs.
Team Soul Bodybuilding is not offered in a class format program, which means the gym will not have a dedicated block for it. However, this is what the Training Hall block is designed for; this format provides a coach on the floor for those looking to jump into the CrossFit Class or work on any other of our programs. Team Soul Bodybuilding is designed to be performed with minimal oversight since the program follows simple movements and progressions that are easy for you to understand and perform. This means that you will be able to do most of the movements without needing a coach to walk you through them, but keep in mind that we always have a coach available to you for any guidance you may need during Training Hall hours.
Offering these two programs also means that the gym schedule will undergo some changes worth noting starting May 1, 2023.
The main schedule changes to note in MIA are that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the CrossFit class will move to 7 PM and we will have a Team Soul Burn class at 6 PM. Saturday’s MIA schedule will now have a Burn class at 8 AM AND a CrossFit class at 9 AM.
FTL will also have a Team Soul Burn Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 PM, followed by the Crossfit Class at 6 PM. Saturday’s will now also offer a CrossFit class at 9 AM, followed by the Training Hall at 10 AM where you will be able to perform your Burn workout if you want, along with any other of the programs we offer.
Lastly, as we mentioned before, we have something for everyone. If what you’re looking for is to burn fat, lose weight, and gain muscle then the combination of both Team Soul Burn and Team Soul Bodybuilding is the perfect mix of training methods if you’re looking for a “Look Good Naked” program. Combining these two programs in your training week will give you the benefits of both, and you can even do both on the same day, especially if they are both on the schedule. If you are someone who is injured, looking for a shift in your training, or maybe you just want to work on that summer body for a little while losing some fat and gaining some muscle, this “Look Good Naked” package is exactly what you need.
