RUN WITH US: Team Soul Running

Team Soul Running successfully prepared our athletes and clients for a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon over the last several months. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, beginner or just looking to experiment with running for the first time.  Our program is designed to push your limits all while ensuring you thrive through the summer months.

What to Expect:

Our Running Program is a comprehensive training plan that integrates seamlessly into your training. Here’s what you can anticipate:

  • Summer-Ready Workouts: With two dedicated running sessions, one cardio-style or aerobic workout per week, and two assistance work sessions, our program is designed to keep putting a great deal of emphasis on endurance.  
  • Enhanced Features: Our program will blend strength and conditioning elements in the way of assistance exercises combined with running sessions and aerobic base building workouts weekly.  Expect brand-new warm-ups, additional work to hone your skills, and targeted assistance to support your progress every step of the way.  The program is structured so you can exclusively follow TS Running or use it to supplement another Team Soul Program.
  • Focused Goals: We’re always focused on results and goal setting. Throughout the program, we’ll be mostly focusing on improving your mile time, 5km speed, and 10km endurance. Regular testing will continuously give us data points to ensure that progress is being made whether in total time, tempo, pace structure and more.  
  • Our approach of combining regular testing, time based sessions, threshold work, focus on repeatability, speed work and recovery sessions will give followers plenty of exposure to different styles of running with the unified goal of building confident runners.  Our program features an even mix of all of these sessions and longer runs. We advocate for maintaining a balance between intensity and distance to help the runner not only build stamina but experience on the road.

Team Soul Running is an Endurance program focused, primarily, on helping athletes and clients alike reach their running goals. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or new to running, Team Soul structures every session so it can be followed by anyone. The program aims to maximize, test and retest mile time, 5km, 10km distances during the summer months, and longer distances when the temperature cools down. Our program shifts through different phases depending on what we are preparing for.  Regardless, you can expect well rounded warm ups, 2-3 running days, 1 cardio day that can be done in the gym, and 2 assistance work sessions.  

Running sessions will cycle between testing, time based sessions, threshold work, focus on repeatability, speed work, long runs, and recovery sessions. The cardio days can be monostructural in nature, but will also often use machines like the rower, different variety of indoor bikes like the C2 or echo bike, sleds and more. The warm up and assistance sessions will emphasize mobility, injury prevention and strengthening of your feet, knees, psoas, hips, spine, and more.  

The program can be followed solely, or you can choose to supplement the program of your choice with more running and endurance work by adding Team Soul Running to your training.
